A preparation method of the bacillus algaecide comprises the following steps: crushing the rice straws and limestone to obtain powder with the granularity of 40 meshes, and adding the powder into water; and adding bacillus, xanthan gum and polyvinyl alcohol to the above obtained solution, and uniformly mixing. The bacillus algaecide can be used in various freshwaters, such as lakes, reservoirs, landscape ponds and agricultural culture water to remove harmful blue algae, and is an environmentally friendly algaecide.
