Summary:The present invention concerns an illuminating laminated glazing, preferably an illuminated glazing for a vehicle, comprising (a) a first sheet (1), made from mineral or organic glass, with a first main face (11), a second main face (12) and an edge face (13), (b) a second sheet (2), made from mineral or organic glass, with a first main face (21), a second main face (22) and an edge face (23), (c) a transparent lamination insert (3), in adhesive contact with the second main face (12) of the first sheet (1) and with the first main face (21) of the second sheet (2), (d) at least one light emitting diode (LED) strip comprising a printed circuit board (PCB) (41) and a plurality of LEDs (42), positioned such that the emitting faces (43) of the LEDs are opposite the edge face (13) of the first sheet (1), (e) one or a plurality of diffusing members preferably positioned on one of the main faces of the first sheet or in the thickness of the first sheet, characterized by the fact that the lamination insert (3) comprises, on at least one of the main faces of same, an opaque masking layer (6) extending from the edge of the insert to the centre of the glazing in such a way as to cover an area where the light of the LEDs, in the absence of said opaque masking later, is visible in the form of light halos through the second sheet (2).
