Summary:The invention discloses method and device for correcting barrel distortion of an image. The method comprises the steps of acquiring a barrel deformation image; dividing the barrel deformation image about the central point into four quadrants; sequentially correcting the pixel coordinate points of each quadrant according to the double-curve model algorithm to obtain the corrected pixel coordinate point; forming the corrected image according to the corrected pixel coordinate points. With the adoption of the method, the barrel distortion image can be corrected.
