Summary:The invention provides a method for measuring thickness of foam plastic. The method comprises steps as follows: (1), a probe of an eddy current thickness measurement instrument is put on a surface of the foam plastic; (2), pressure is exerted according to a use requirement of the probe; (3), the thickness of the measured foam plastic is obtained according to a number displayed on a reading dial of a host of the eddy current thickness measurement instrument. The method solves the problem that the foam plastic is damaged during thickness measurement with a conventional foam plastic thickness measurement method.
