The thermal power plant cooling system comprises a tank body, wherein a cooling fan is arranged at the top of the tank body, and an air blower is further arranged on the cooling fan; a sprayer, a coiled pipe, an air-in device and a sprayed water collecting trough are sequentially arranged in the tank body from the top to the bottom, a water inlet and a water outlet are formed in the coiled pipe, and cold exchange equipment is connected at the water inlet and the water outlet; the water inlet of the sprayer is connected with the sprayed water collecting trough through a water pump to form a circulating structure. The cooling system is simple in structure, simple to operate, convenient to maintain, uniform in water distribution and low in cost. The cooling system can improve the cooling effect and meanwhile can reduce water consumption.
