The invention relates to a wallpaper base paper, and more specifically relates to an antibacterial PVC wallpaper base paper containing nutmeg oil microcapsules and a preparation method thereof. The antibacterial PVC wallpaper base paper is prepared from following raw materials, by weight, 0.1 to 0.2 part of wild chrysanthemum flower water extract, 2 to 3 parts of polycarboxylic acid water reducing agent, 1 to 2 parts of polyhexamethylene guanidine, 0.01 to 0.02 part of nutmeg oil, 40 to 60 parts of softwood fully bleached chemical wood pulp, 20 to 40 parts of hardwood eucalyptus pulp, 1 to 3 parts of polyamide epichlorohydrin resin, 10 to 15 parts of calcium carbonate whisker of 600 to 800 meshes, 0.4 to 0.5 part of Arabic gum, 0.2 to 0.3 part of polyethylene glycol, 0.1 to 0.2 part of white carbon black, 12 to 15 parts of an environmental-friendly pigment of 800 to 1250 meshes, 12t o18 parts of an adhesive, and 3 to 5 parts of an auxiliary agent. The antibacterial PVC wallpaper base paper is friendly to the environment, is non-toxic, possesses long-lasting antibacterial property and mildew resistance, is excellent in physical properties, is convenient for later processing, and is capable of providing production of high-quality wallpaper with foundation.
