The invention relates to a base wallpaper, and in particular to a smooth PVC base wallpaper and a preparation method thereof. The base paper consists of the following raw materials by weight: 12-15 parts of soybean protein fiber, 35-45 parts of a needle whole-bleached chemical wood pulp, 20-30 parts of a broad-leaved bleached chemical pulp, 1-2 parts of poly quaternary ammonium salt, 1-3 parts of a camphor leaf extract liquid, 3-5 parts of polyvinylpyrrolidone, 4-5 parts of a PAE wet strength agent, 2-4 parts of an organosilicon emulsion with solid content of 25-30%, 10-14 parts of a lithium chinastone powder of 600-800 mesh, 10-15 parts of a green paint of 800-125 mesh, 12-15 parts of an adhesive and 3-5 parts of an auxiliary agent. The base paper has smooth texture, good toughness, good moisture absorption and conductivity properties and high durability; a complex surface coating liquid realizes uniform and plump color, good retention effect and easy coating, so as to strengthen water resistance of the base paper; after sizing, the base paper has smooth and dense surface, is non-toxic, smooth and flat. The invention has the advantages of high use rate of raw materials, excellent physical properties and easy after processing, and lays foundation for the production of high quality wallpaper products.
