The invention provides a system for preparing ceramsite through sludge. The system comprises an edge runner, a homogenizing stirrer and molding equipment, wherein the homogenizing stirrer is arranged below the edge runner for homogenizing the processed materials, and the molding equipment is arranged below the homogenizing stirrer for balling and molding the materials which are homogenized by the homogenizing stirrer. According to the technical scheme provided by the invention, the edge runner, the homogenizing stirrer and the molding equipment are sequentially arranged from top to bottom, thereby saving the area of the system which occupies the field. Furthermore, materials are conveyed by virtue of gravity, the material conveying equipment is reduced, the probability of failures of the system is decreased, and the pressure of system maintenance is reduced.
