A lever-type intermittent and non-intermittent interchange variable-speed wheelchair comprises a body portion, a drive portion and a transmission portion. The drive portion comprises a drive handle, a first driving sprocket and a second driving sprocket, the first driving sprocket and the second driving sprocket are coaxially mounted, the transmission portion comprises a chain, a reversing mechanism, a first driven ratchet wheel and a second driven ratchet wheel, the first driven ratchet wheel and the second driven ratchet wheel are coaxially mounted and coaxially drive a wheel axle, the first driving sprocket drives the first driven ratchet wheel through the chain, the second driving sprocket drives the second driven ratchet wheel through the chain and the reversing mechanism, and the drive handle is individually connected with the first driving sprocket or respectively connected with the first driving sprocket and the second driving sprocket.
