Summary:The invention discloses a distributed multi-copy storage method and device. The method comprises the following steps: determining that O server nodes in N server nodes of a distributed cache system are in fault, wherein each server node is stored in the same data copy, R server nodes in the N server nodes are used for reading the data copy by a client, W server nodes in the N server nodes are used for updating the data copy through the client, and O server nodes are the data copy that cannot be continuously read by the client and/or a critical value for updating the data copy, N, R, W and O are positive integer, and O is less than W, and W+R are greater than N; adjusting the value of R and/or W according to the value of the N and O. According to the technical scheme provided by the invention, the usage amount of the resource is reduced in the premise of meeting consistency and usability requirement, and the continuous tolerance of the system to the fault is improved.
