Summary:The invention discloses an elevator group management method. When two adjacent elevators in a shaft stop at the same floor and need to start towards the same direction, a group management controller allows one elevator to firstly leave the floor at which the elevator stops and forbids the other elevator to start, and after delay time, the group management controller allows the other elevator to start; when one of the two adjacent elevators in the shaft is in a running state and the other elevator stops at a floor ahead the running direction of the running elevator and needs to start towards the same direction, if the stopped elevator immediately starts and the running elevator behind will catch up the elevator ahead, the group management controller forbids the stopped elevator to immediately start, and if the running elevator behind will not catch up the elevator ahead, the group management controller allows the stopped elevator to immediately start. The elevator group management method has can avoid the situation that adjacent elevators in the same shaft run abreast or closely during running, the piston effect is avoided and the noise in the elevators is reduced.
