Summary: | The invention relates to a method for improving grain size of a TP347HFG wrought pipe billet, belonging to the field of forging. The method is characterized by comprising the following steps: heating a forging material to 1100 DEG C above, keeping the temperature for 3-3.5 hours until the internal and external temperatures of the steel are uniform, discharging, and naturally cooling to room temperature in air. The wrought pipe billet produced by the technique has the advantages of obviously improved grain size and favorable grain size uniformity; and the method is utilized to obtain the uniform structure with the crystal grain of Grade 6-5. |
