Summary: | The invention provides a catalyst applied to a pre-stage three-way catalytic converter. The catalyst comprises a carrier and an active material, wherein the active material consists of precious metal and a catalyst promoter; the precious metal consists of palladium nitrate and rhodium nitrate, and the weight ratio of palladium nitrate to rhodium is 14 to 1; and the catalyst promoter consists of aluminum oxide, cerium-zirconium powder, pseudo-boehmite, deionized water and nitric acid. The catalyst applied to the pre-stage three-way catalytic converter has an excellent purification effect on purification of waste gas generated during cold start of an automobile. |
