The shortsightedness prevention student chair comprises a seat and is characterized in that a fixed ring is arranged in the center of the front end of the seat; an insertion rod capable of being inserted and pulled is arranged on the fixed ring; a chair rod is sleeved by the fixed ring; the chair rod is provided with a plurality of insertion holes capable of being used for enabling the insertion rod to be inserted therein; a contact plate is arranged at the upper end of the chair rod; the top end of the chair rod is in a U shape; the contact plate is hinged to the interior of the U-shaped part; one surface of the contact plate is a hard panel and the other surface of the contact plate is a soft panel; the hard panel is made of wood; the soft panel is made of sponge. According to the invention, by adjusting the height of the contact plate, students of different heights can stick out chests when studying, so that the distance between eyes and a book reaches a reasonable height and humpback and shortsightedness can be avoided.
