Summary:A short-range wireless communication device used with a communication partner terminal (2) that executes a cooperative application by switching a foreground or a background, and disconnects the protocol by moving the cooperative application from the foreground to the background while a protocol is connected with the wireless communication device, the short-range wireless communication device being provided with a control device (14) for determining if the condition for returning the cooperative application from the background to the foreground is met, determining if the cooperative application has returned to the foreground on the basis of the operating situation of an application in the communication partner terminal when the condition is met, and transmitting the protocol connection request to the communication partner terminal (2) when the cooperative application has returned to the foreground. When the cooperative application has not returned to the foreground, the control device (14) repeatedly acquires the operating situation.
