Summary: | The invention relates to a method for producing a polyacrylonitrile-sulfur composite material, comprising the steps of: a) providing a matrix material; b) optionally adding sulfur to the matrix material; c) adding polyacrylonitrile to the matrix material to obtain a mixture of sulfur and polyacrylonitrile; and d) reacting sulfur and polyacrylonitrile. A composite material produced in said manner can be used especially as an active material of a cathode in a lithium-ion battery and has a particularly high rate capability. The invention further relates to methods for producing an active material for an electrode. |
