A guardrail standing column comprises a base plate, a standing column body, a first fastener, a second fastener, a fixing support, a light source support and a light source. The standing column body comprises a first lateral plate and a second lateral plate which are opposite and disposed at interval. During assembling, the base plate is fixed on an external object (such as the ground) through the fasteners, the standing column body is fixed on the base plate, the fixing support is fixed on the standing column body, the light source support is disposed on the fixing support, the light source is disposed on the light source support, and the light source can emit light. The guardrail standing column has the advantages that integrated design is used, the guardrail standing column is further provided with the light source support and the light source, lighting is achieved while the structure o the guardrail standing column is simple, and complex procedures of temporary mounting are omitted; in addition, the light source is disposed between the first lateral plate and the second lateral plate, so that reasonable structural design is achieved, and space is saved.
