Summary:A method of adjusting a total ventilation efficiency of cigarettes is disclosed. The total ventilation efficiency of the cigarettes and a cut stem filling value have a linear regression relationship, namely the total ventilation efficiency = -0.66 + 3.225* the cut stem filling value. The range of the cut stem filling value is calculated according to the design range of the total ventilation efficiency specified in brand cigarette technology requirements. A tobacco stem formula is developed in a targeted manner, and a composition ratio test design scheme of tobacco stems from different production places is obtained. The optimum formula composition ratio is determined by tests to ensure that the cut stem filling value is in a preset range, thus ensuring that the total ventilation efficiency meets technical standards. If a product design changes and a process standard requires increase of the total ventilation efficiency, a formula ratio of tobacco stems with a high cut stem filling value in production places is increased, and if a process standard requires decrease of the total ventilation efficiency, a formula ratio of tobacco stems with a low cut stem filling value in production places is decreased, thus achieving linkage control between cigarette raw material changes and quality indexes of finished product of the cigarettes.
