The invention provides a BIM (building information model) method for digital processing and manufacturing of steel structure buildings. The method comprises four parts, namely building design, structure design and analysis, detailed drawing design, and digital control processing and manufacturing. The method has the advantage that each part has respective basic process step requirements, and the certain information interaction is performed between the processes, so information can be timely updated, the problems of unsmooth connection of processes between current specialties and ineffective transmission of data are solved, and the problem of low efficiency in the digital design and construction process of the steel structure buildings is improved.
