The invention provides a portable electronic device which is used for allowing an amplification device to be connected in an insertion mode. The amplification device comprises a first loudspeaker. The portable electronic device comprises a main chip, a diverter switch and a second loudspeaker, wherein the main chip is electrically connected with the diverter switch, and the main chip is used for detecting whether the amplification device is connected into the portable electronic device or not and controlling the diverter switch to establish electric connection with the first loudspeaker or the second loudspeaker according to the detecting result. When the amplification device is connected into the portable electronic device, the diverter switch is electrically connected with the first loudspeaker, and when the amplification device is not connected into the portable electronic device, the diverter switch is electrically connected with the second loudspeaker.
