Summary:The invention discloses a method for distortionless coding and decoding of desktop images of computers. In the process of encoding, a first desktop image and a second desktop image of a computer are captured. Afterwards, multiple pixels of the second desktop image and multiple pixels of the first desktop image are compared, and an index data string is established according to the comparison result. At last, the pixel values of all the pixels of the first desktop image and the index data string are stored. In the process of decoding, the second desktop image is restored according to the index data string and the pixel values of all the pixels of the first desktop image. The differences between the pixels of the second desktop image and the pixels of the first desktop image are recorded through the index data string, and thus, it is not necessary to record the pixel values of all the pixels of the second desktop image and the total data volume is reduced and oversized data volume is avoided on the basis of zero
