The connection assembly (10) has a fan wheel (11) and a shaft (18) for driving the fan wheel (11). The shaft has a screw thread (23) which is screwed into the corresponding screw thread (37) of the fan wheel (11). A shoulder (25) subsequent to the screw thread (23) of shaft is engaged in a corresponding shoulder (33) of the fan wheel (11). The radial portions (26, 34) of the shoulder (25) and the corresponding shoulder (33) of fan wheel are in axial engagement with each other.
