The invention discloses an additive for a hole-sealing material, a novel hole-sealing material prepared by utilizing the additive and an application method of the novel hole-sealing material, and belongs to the field of the hole-sealing materials. The additive contains rock powder and is prepared from a solid accelerator, the rock powder and aluminum powder which are in weight ratio of 50 to 50 to (1.25-1.528). The additive can be used for preparing the novel hole-sealing material, and can also be used for preparing the novel hole-sealing material on site. After the hole-sealing material is injected into a working surface, the hole-sealing material can be rapidly solidified and expanded, so that the effect of sealing enhancement is realized. The hole-sealing material prepared by utilizing the additive can be used for the hole sealing of coal enhancement for coal uncovering of a cross drift of a coal mine and the hole sealing during the pressure measurement of gases in the coal mine. The additive is nontoxic,
