Summary:Provided are a method and an apparatus for conveying and treating a web. The method involves conveying web such as spunbond textile on a transport surface and then over a rotating transfer roller at a downstream end of the transport surface. The web is transferred from the transfer roller to a rotating treatment roller or calendar roller spaced from the transfer roller in the travel direction of the web. The speed of the conveying of the web and spacing (a) of treatment roller from the transfer roller (4) is set, such that the web wraps around the transfer roller over wrap angle (alpha) of 15 DEG to 90 DEG.
