Summary:A shaving razor cartridge has a housing with at least one blade having a blade edge. A first guard is in front of the blade. The first guard has a plurality of projections defining a plurality of open slots extending generally transverse to the blade edge for allowing the free passage of hair during shaving. The shaving razor cartridge also has a second guard in front of the first guard. The second guard and the first guard define an opened longitudinal recess therebetween that is generally parallel to the blade. The opened longitudinal recess has width of 0.5 mm to 1.5 mm.
