The invention discloses a vacuum carburizing heat treatment method, comprising the following steps: selecting a carburizing agent; setting carburizing temperature; setting surface carbon concentration; setting core carbon concentration; setting critical carburizing layer concentration; setting carburizing layer depth and setting total surface area of a work-piece, wherein an acetylene gas is selected as the carburizing agent; the carburizing temperature is set at 920-980 DEG C; the surface carbon concentration is set at 0.87-0.95%C; the core carbon concentration is set at 0.16-0.18%; the critical carburizing layer concentration is greater than 0.35%C; the carburizing layer depth is set at 0.75-0.95mm; the total surface area of the work-piece is set at 1.6-1.62m . The test times and the test dose of equipment are reduced by setting the carburizing temperature and the like within a corresponding small and proper range; the quality of a spare part can be ensured by an optimal value determined by the tests.
