Summary: | Provided is a positive electrode active material capable of improving the output characteristics of a non-aqueous electrolyte secondary cell. The positive electrode active material of the non-aqueous electrolyte secondary cell (1) includes a first positive electrode active material and a second positive electrode active material. The first positive electrode active material has a cobalt content equal to or greater than 15% in terms of the atomic percentage in the transition metals. The second positive electrode active material has a cobalt content equal to or less than 5% in terms of the atomic percentage in the transition metals. The average secondary particle diameter (r1) of the first positive electrode active material is less than the average secondary particle diameter (r2) of the second positive electrode active material. |
