Summary: | The invention provides an application of a BI-1 gene in promoting growth of catharanthus roseus cells and provides a method for promoting the growth of the catharanthus roseus cells and increasing the yield (the total biomass) of culture cells. An experiment shows that the BI-1 gene is overexpressed in the catharanthus roseus cells, so that the growth speed of the catharanthus roseus cells can be increased, and the total biomass of the cells in a culture period can be increased; within a 30-day culture period, the total yield of the catharanthus roseus cells is 1.1 times higher than those of non-transgenetic catharanthus roseus cells and transgenosis contrast cells. According to the method, a catharanthus roseus cell system capable of enabling trans-AtBi-1 genes to grow fast can be supplied, and important application significance for increasing the total biomass of the catharanthus roseus cells in a catharanthus roseus cell culture technology can be realized. |
