Summary:The invention discloses a preparation method of high-purity capsorubin diester and capsorubin. The preparation method comprises the process steps of (1) preparing capsorubin into a mixed solution by using an organic solvent; (2) sampling the mixed solution to a silica gel chromatographic column, and collecting a capsorubin-diester-containing eluent through gradient elution by using a mixed solvent system of normal hexane and ethyl acetate as a mobile phase; (3) evaporating and concentrating at vacuum and removing a solvent in the eluent, and recrystallizing to obtain capsorubin diester; (4) saponifying the eluent in step (2) or the capsorubin diester in step (3) by using an alkaline alcoholic solution, and removing a solvent from saponification liquid to obtain a capsorubin monomer; and (5) recrystallizing the capsorubin monomer to obtain a capsorubin crystal. The method is high in product purity, stable in technology and good in repeatability, and can be used for separately preparing the high-purity capsorub
