Summary:The present invention relates to a gateway module, a communication system and a method for transmitting data among users. The gateway module used for connecting at least two sub-networks is described, the first sub-network of the at least two sub-networks supports the data transmission according to a first communication protocol, especially the CAN, FlexRay, LIN, Most or Ethernet, and the second sub-network supports the data transmission according to a second communication protocol, especially the CAN, FlexRay, LIN, Most or Ethernet. The gateway module comprises a configurable hardware circuit used for processing the data coming from the first network on the condition of considering the first and second protocols and forwarding to the second sub-network.
