Summary: | The invention provides a ball chain having relatively small influence on environment in both manufacturing and discarding. The ball chain is provided with a spindly rope (12) and a plurality of balls (14) connected on the rope (12) at prescribed intervals. At least the rope (12) and the balls (14) are made of cellulose fibers. A total mass of the cellulose fibers contained in the rope (12) and the balls (14) accounts for 15 mass%-100 mass% that of a total mass of the rope (12) and the balls (14). The rope (12) is woven or wattled by using paper yarns containing 80 mss% or more cellulose fibers as a material. The balls (14) are injection molded materials comprising 25 mass%-100 mass% of the cellulose fibers, 0 mass%-75 mass% of polyolefin and 0 mass%-75 mass% of starch, and a total mass of the three materials accounts for over 90 mss% of the mass of the balls (14). |
