The invention relates to the technical field of plastic modification, and especially relates to a low-floating-fiber flame-retardant reinforced PBT material and a preparation method of the PBT mateiral. The PBT material comprises the following components in percent by weight: 55-70 parts of PBT, 5-15 parts of a flexibilizer, 0.2-0.5 part of a silane coupling agent, 10-20 parts of short cut glass fiber, 10-15 parts of an environment-friendly flame retardant, 0.1-0.5 part of an anti-oxidant, 0.1-1 part of a lubricant and 0.3-0.8 part of a floating-fiber remover. The preparation method of the PBT material comprises the steps of mixing, extrusion and injection moulding. The prepared product has the characteristics of low floating fiber, flame retardance and reinforced performances.
