Summary:The invention discloses a file transmission method and a mobile storage device which applies the file transmission method, wherein the disclosed mobile storage device allows a plurality of electronic devices to access stored content in the device in a wireless connection manner. The storage device determines a segmented transmission method according to the type and size of access files and sequence of connected the electronic devices; and in a segmented transmission procedure, when transmission work enters an idle-state time period, a power-supply management unit is used to make a communication unit enter a power-saving mode; then the communication unit is started when use of segmented transmission by the electronic devices is over; and then transmission steps are repeated until transmission of the files is completely over so that an objective that the mobile storage device transmits the files effectively while power saving is considered is achieved.
