Summary:The invention relates to a manufacturing method and a product of a slim shell. A flat-plate-shaped blank is placed between two oppositely-arranged dies, at least one groove is formed in a forming die face of one die, the blank is preheated to be at the forming temperature and arranged between the two dies to be pressed and formed, a semi-finished product of the slim shell is obtained after die releasing, and at least one reinforcement rib is formed at the position, corresponding to the groove, of the semi-finished product of the slim shell. In the cooling process, stress can be shrunk in a balanced mode through supporting of the reinforcement rib, and the semi-finished product of the slim shell is effectively prevented from warping. After cooling is finished, the reinforcement rib is removed in a milling mode, and then the slim shell is obtained.
