Summary:This method of the present invention is for producing a sensor unit (6) for sensing the angular position of a rotatable element (42) with respect to a fixed element (44). The sensor unit (6) comprises an encoder element (62) which is fastened with the rotatable element (42) and is adapted to generate magnetic field variations as a function of its angular position; and a sensing element (640) which is fastened with the fixed element (44) and is adapted to sense the magnetic field variations. The sensing element (640) is mounted on and connected to a printed circuit board (642) mounted in a shielding casing (66) which is fastened with the fixed element (44). This method comprises a step consisting in earthing the shielding casing (66) by electrically connecting it to a load discharging device of the printed circuit board (642).
