Summary:The invention discloses a desktop synchronization method based on cloud storage. The method comprises the following steps of setting a desktop automatic synchronization mode for a cloud disk client, creating a desktop directory in a local cloud storage directory of a cloud disk such that file data on the desktop is stored in the desktop directory, and synchronizing the file data on the desktop to the corresponding network directory of the cloud disk for storage. The invention also discloses a device for realizing desktop synchronization based on the cloud storage. By employing the method and the device, the additional installation of desktop synchronization software is not needed, and the synchronization data of the file data on the desktop is shortened.
