Summary:The present invention relates to a coloring composition used for a color filter and a color filter. The present invention can manufacture the color filter which has improved reduced contract when presenting fluorescent color agent and has high brightness/high contract. The coloring composition used for the color filter contains a fluorescent color agent (A), an organic compound (B) represented by a general formula P-Lm, and adhesive resin (C). In the general formula, P represents an organic pigment skeleton or an aminobenzene skeleton; L represents an alkali functional group Lb, an acid functional group La or a functional group Lp having a phthalimide skeleton; m is an integral number from 1-4 and represents the number of the functional groups.
