The invention discloses a fluorescent material as well as a preparation method and an application thereof. The material has a formula which is shown in the specification. The material is prepared by the complexing reaction of organic ligands of 1-naphthalene-3-thiophne-1, 3-propanedione and trioctylphosphine oxide and EuCl3 in an organic medium. The material is simple in preparation technology, low in raw material cost and low in equipment investment; the material has the advantages of strong fluorescence intensity, high light-emitting efficiency, good organic solvent dissolubility, stability and the like; and the material can be applied to the fields of organic electroluminescence, luminous printing inks and coatings, marking immunoassays and the like.
