Summary:The invention is an output control apparatus for an onboard image display, which can both display image information provided by a portable information terminal during the traveling, and can prevent displaying other image information. The single terminal connection state in which the smartphone 40 is connected to the output control apparatus via both the USB terminal 22 and the HDMI terminal 23 is detected, and the navigation information input through the HDMI terminal 23 is output to the display 2 on condition that the single terminal connection state is detected during the traveling of the vehicle. Since the probability that another electronic device is connected to the HDMI terminal 23 is eliminated when the single terminal connection state is detected, an image of the navigation information supplied from the smartphone 40 is appropriately displayed and other image information is prevented from being displayed during the traveling of the vehicle.
