The method includes the steps of determining test points in a line to be detected and obtaining the wireless broadcasting type coverage data of the test points, obtaining weighted values of the test points according to the wireless broadcasting type coverage data, carrying out line coverage analysis according to the weighted values of the test points and obtaining coverage analyzing results, rendering color of each grid in the line to be detected according to the coverage analyzing results, and displaying the to-be-detected line which is rendered. The line detection method and the line detection equipment can solve the problem that visualized testing results can not be obtained in the prior art.
