A left sliding platform and a right sliding platform are arranged on a base; a blind hole is formed in the center of the base; a smooth shaft is arranged in the blind hole; a double-gear is arranged on the smooth shaft; a positioning seat is arranged for axially limiting the smooth shaft; a left clamp seat is arranged on the left sliding platform; a right clamp seat is arranged on the right sliding platform; gripping heads are arranged on the left and right clamp seats; a left rack is connected with the left sliding platform; a right rack is connected with the right sliding platform; and a driving hydraulic cylinder is arranged at the right side of the base. The fixture provided by the invention can be used for positioning automatically and accurately for machining the graphite electrode tip.
