The invention relates to a metal surface polishing paste cleaning method. The metal surface polishing paste cleaning method comprises the following steps of: 1) soaking a metal component polished by polishing paste in coal oil at the temperature of 30-40 DEG C for 1-2 days; and 2) after soaking, cleaning the metal surface in alcohol by using a soft brush, and observing the metal surface by using an amplifying lens till no polishing paste granules are adhered to the metal surface. By the method, the polishing paste granules are cleaned more completely; the method is simple and convenient; materials and tools are simple; and the method is easy to implement.
