Summary:The present invention provides a water-cooled engine capable of suppressing an adverse situation that an engine wall (21) around a water pump chamber wall (1) is polluted by adhered engine cooling water (12). In the water-cooled engine, the engine cooling water (12) leaked from a mechanical seal (7) is discharged into a water pump input belt wheel (4) via a leaking water inflow space (10) and discharge holes (11), a lower peripheral surface of a shaft sleeve (2) heaves downwards to form a lower protruding strip (13) along an anteroposterior direction, the discharge holes (11) along bearings (8, 9) are formed within a wall of the lower protruding strip (13), outlets (14) of the discharge holes (11) are arranged at a central part of the anteroposterior direction within the water pump input belt wheel (4).
