The invention discloses a large-scale GPRS (general packet radio service) terminal device networking method. The method comprises the following steps: S10, judging whether data is transmitted between a GPRS terminal and a server; and S11, according to a judgment result of the step S10, when no data is transmitted, sending a TCP (transmission control protocol) connection disconnecting command to a GPRS module by a processor, and keeping a silence state, while when data is transmitted, sending a connection establishing command to the GPRS module by the processor.
