The invention relates to a method for producing a moulded skin (5) having a decoration (7), to a method for producing a vehicle interior lining part, to a moulded skin (5) and also to a vehicle interior lining part. By first applying a pigment-containing fluid to elevations (3) of a moulding surface (2) of a casting mould (1), subsequently heating the casting mould (1) and thereafter covering the mould surface (2) with plastic material, it is possible in a simple manner to produce a moulded skin (5) having a decoration (7), wherein virtually any desired shape of the decoration (7) is possible.
