The invention discloses a playing system and a playing device for digital reading of a media file. The playing system is characterized by being suitable for playing a media file which has multimedia data and a plurality of codes, and each of the codes corresponds to one of multiple pages of a word media as well as a playing time order of the multimedia data; the playing device comprises a storage media, a displaying unit, an input interface and a multimedia playing unit, wherein the storage media is used for storing the media file; the displaying unit is used for displaying guide information depending on the codes; the input interface is used for the user to input one of the pages as an operating order depending on the guide information; and the multimedia playing unit is used for playing the multimedia data in accordance with the playing time order which corresponds to the operating order inputted by the user.
