The invention relates to a method for correcting a sealing surface of a double-gate valve by using a grinding flat plate. The method comprises the following steps of: performing primary grinding after a valve is dismantled; arranging the flat plate at the position of a star-like plate of a grinder so as to replace the star-like plate of the grinder; uniformly painting the sealing surface of the flat plate; making the sealing surface of the flat plate be opposite to a sealing surface of a valve clack or a valve seat; rotating the grinder at low rotation speed to grind the sealing surface of the valve for 1 to 2 minutes; taking the grinder down; checking the coincident area of the painted sealing surface and the correcting flat plate; if the painted sealing surface is inconsistent with the correcting flat plate, continuously grinding until the painted sealing surface is consistent with the collecting flat plate, namely the sealing surface is smooth; and grinding the star-like plate normally.
