Summary: | The invention provides a detection and positioning method for partial discharge of a transformer, which comprises the steps as follows: utilizing an ultrasonic probe to detect ultrasonic signals generated by partial discharge points of the transformer on the outer side of a transformer oil tank; preprocessing the ultrasonic signals, wherein the preprocessing comprises analog-to-electrical signal conversion processing and analog-to-digital signal conversion processing; and utilizing a hyperboloid positioning method to determine positions of the partial discharge points according to the ultrasonic signals.
