The invention relates to a heat exchange system for loose material and a method for operating the heat exchange system. During the operation of the heat exchange system (1), the loose material and carrier gas are feed to heat exchange devices (8, 9) through a pneumatic conveyor (2). The carrier gas is fed to heat exchange parts (10) of the heat exchange devices (8, 9); and loose material is conveyed to pass through the heat exchange devices (8, 9) pneumatically. Accordingly, during the pneumatic conveying period, the loose material is conveyed net and passes through the heat exchange parts (10) along the flow direction of the carrier gas and loose material carrying transport flow (BF) in the conveying direction of the carrier gas is absolutely greater than the loose material flow (BG) opposite to the flow direction of the carrier gas. The heat transfer efficiency is improved through the heat exchange system and the method for the same.
