The invention relates to battery field and discloses a hydroenergy battery which comprises a shell and multiple stages of electrode sets, multiple stages of electrolytic tanks and sodium hypochlorite aqueous electrolyte, which are arranged inside the shell. Each stage of electrode set comprises a magnesium rod cathode and a copper bar anode which form a battery pack together with the sodium hypochlorite aqueous electrolyte. The multiple stages of electrolytic tanks are intercommunicated with each other through ion channels and liquid circulation holes; through the blocking actions on the ions of the ion channels and the liquid circulation holes, the multiple stages of electrolytic tanks are equivalent to being isolated with each other electrically; and the voltage is boosted step by step through the multiple stages of electrode sets.
